About

Lauren Corn began her artistic career after entering Kenyon College in the spring of 2012. Her interest in sculpture carried throughout her time in college. She mainly worked with wood and steel and explored the relationship between these two mediums.

Toward the end of her time in college and after graduation, Lauren became further interested in photography and the use of collaging digital files upon one another in order to create a totality of disparate parts.

In all of her works, Lauren Corn is interested in the abstraction of nature and the contrast. Lauren finds beauty and intrigue in contradictions between stability and movement, hard and soft, natural and industrial. It is between polarity that Lauren finds beauty and meaning.
